Travel | New York Day 2

February 8, 2016

Hello Everybody!

So it’s day 2 of our trip to New York City! We’ve been up since 4:30am, thanks jet lag! I didn’t mind having to get up earlier as it meant we could get out and about before it got busier but I’m definitely tired now!

We’ve had pretty good weather today, it’s been blue skies and not as cold as I thought, more like spring back in England, I think that’s all going to change though because we have a snow storm due tomorrow!

We started the day off by going to the Natural History Museum, which we were very impressed with! There’s so much to see you could literally spend the whole day in there. It’s definitely best to get there first thing when it’s quiet as when we were leaving it was getting pretty busy.

Next we had a wonder over to central park, we didn’t get to see everything we wanted to in there as it’s huge! We will be going back at some point over our trip. We went into Belvedere Castle which reminded me of the Smurfs movie aha!

Once we had finished in Central Park it was way past lunch time so decided to go back to the hotel for a quick 20 minute stop for a drink, and for me to change my shoes! We then headed over to the high line and walked that which was nice. It was quite busy but we didn’t mind as it was nice to look at the surroundings as we were still getting over the fact we are actually in New York!

As we missed lunch and we thought it was too late in the day to eat anything that could ruin our tea, we decided to head back and stop by Coldstone Creamery for a milkshake. If you read my Orlando blog posts, you’d know I LOVE this place. The milkshakes are to die for. I had an Oreo one and Will had cake batter. We will definitely be getting more of these on our trip haha.

We decided to get a pizza for tea from the pizzeria near our hotel and just have it in our room because tonight the Super Bowl is on and it was getting much busier than usual! We got a large pizza to make up for missing lunch haha! It was absolutely huge, as you can see by the photo of me holding it! Worst part of it was, I ate more of it than my boyfriend did. Whoops! Oh well, New York pizzas are amazing!

Now we are sat watching the telly letting our feet recover ready for tomorrow! Here’s some more photos so far of our trip..

If you’ve not already, make sure you check out Day 1 of my trip here! 🙂

See you tomorrow for Day 3!
