Unicorn Chocolate Bark

Unicorn Chocolate bark

Hope you have all been enjoying the nice weather, hopefully not burnt like me! It seems to be a bit rainy now, but hopefully the sunshine will come back as it was nice to finally see England have a proper summer!

I was having a look through Pinterest for baking ideas this weekend, not really sure what I was wanting to make. I came across some chocolate bark, it’s not really the sort of baking I was looking for but thought it looked fun as no chocolate bark is the same. You can literally make anything!

I saw loads of different ones but with it being summer I wanted to do something bright and colourful. I decided I would try make unicorn chocolate bark. Unicorn .. well because there seems to be some obsession with unicorns at the moment and it was the only thing that worked with the colours!

There is literally no recipe for this.. you can be as adventurous as you like.. I used 600g of white chocolate which I melted and divided some into separate bowls. I then used different food colouring to dye the chocolate to pretty colours but also left some of the white chocolate as it is.

Once you’ve done that, you then blob each colour in different areas on a baking tray covered in baking paper. When you’ve used up all your chocolate, use a spatular to swirl it together, making it the thickness you like. Make sure it’s not too thin.

Once you have done that you need to get your toppings, I used all the colourful sprinkles and cake toppings I could find in our cupboard. You could also use marshmallows, mini fudge chunks, dried fruit, literally anything! 🙂 When you have finished that, you need to put it into the fridge for at least an hour to set and then you break it up into big chunks.

I really like this idea as it’s really easy, but it’s also a really nice idea to do as an additional gift for special occasions. I’m thinking of doing some at Christmas in little bags to go with presents as it will be a nice little extra.
